- Hiring for Junior Faculty and Academic Support Staff on an ad-hoc basis at FDDI, Chennai campus.
- Positions include Junior Faculty (Component, Lasting & Finishing; New Product Development; Non-Leather) and Lab Assistant.
- Consolidated monthly remuneration: Rs. 50,000 for Junior Faculty and Rs. 30,000 for Lab Assistant.
- Engagement period: Up to 6 months, extendable up to 6 months at a time based on institutional needs.
- Two casual leaves per month (carry-forward within engagement period; unused leaves lapse).
- No additional benefits like HRA, LTC, medical claims, or accommodation claims applicable.
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
- For Junior Faculty (Component, Lasting & Finishing): Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree (minimum 55% marks) in any field with a 1-year diploma in Footwear Manufacturing/Technology/Design/Production/Accessories Design/Science & Engineering. OR Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Footwear Manufacturing/Technology/Design/Production/Accessories Design/Science & Engineering (minimum 55% marks).
- For Junior Faculty (New Product Development): Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree (minimum 55% marks) in Footwear Manufacturing/Technology/Design/Production/Accessories Design/Science & Engineering with specialization in Design. OR Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Footwear Technology with Design specialization (minimum 55% marks).
- For Junior Faculty (Non-Leather): Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree (minimum 55% marks) in any field with a 1-year diploma in Footwear Design/Manufacturing/Technology/Production/Accessories Design/Fashion Design. OR Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Footwear Technology/Design/Manufacturing/Production (minimum 55% marks).
- For Lab Assistant: 12th pass or above with 1 year of relevant experience in footwear design/manual pattern making.
- Minimum 3 years of academic/industry experience required for Junior Faculty roles (teaching experience must be in UG or higher courses).
- Minimum 2-3 years of academic/industry experience required for Lab Assistant role.
- Upper age limit: 35 years for Junior Faculty; 35 years (General), 38 years (OBC), 40 years (SC/ST), 45 years (PWD) for Lab Assistant.
