Family Counsellor and Child Counsellor Recruitment

- Recruitment for 3 Family Counsellors and 1 Child Counsellor at Family Court Headquarters, Patiala.
- Recruitment for 1 Family Counsellor and 1 Child Counsellor each at Camp Courts in Nabha, Samana, and Rajpura.
- Counsellors will assist Family Courts in promoting conciliation and securing speedy settlement of disputes related to marriage and family affairs.
- Counsellors are not permitted to act as legal representatives for any party in a case.
- Term of appointment is 3 years, extendable by the Hon’ble High Court.
- Counsellors must attend court as required by the Judge of the Family Court.
- Counsellors may be removed from the panel without prior notice by the Hon’ble High Court before the expiry of their term.

- Graduate degree from a recognized university, preferably with Social Science/Sociology, Psychology, Clinical Psychiatry, or Law as one of the subjects.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Social Work/Welfare or association with field work, research, or teaching in Government Departments, Colleges, Universities, or similar academic institutes in areas of family welfare or problems of women and children.
- Must possess impeccable integrity.
- Minimum age of 35 years as on the last date of application submission (14.09.2026).

- Applications will be scrutinized for eligibility based on qualifications and experience.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interaction on 22.09.2026 at 11:00 AM in the Office of Superintendent, District Courts, Patiala.
- No TA/DA will be provided to candidates for attending the interaction.
