Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Positions under Project DOM

- Recruitment for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions under the DOM project at NCPOR, an autonomous society under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India.
- Positions are temporary and on a contract basis for an initial period of one year, extendable based on performance and project requirements.
- Research areas include mid-ocean ridge hydrothermal venting and mineralization, ocean-atmosphere interactions, circulation dynamics, hydrographic characteristics, and chemical oceanography.
- Candidates can attend the interview either in-person at Headland Sada, Vasco-da-Gama, Goa, or via online mode.

- Master’s degree in Geology/Geophysics/Applied Geology/Applied Geophysics/Marine Geology/Marine Geophysics or equivalent, or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology in a relevant subject with at least 60% marks.
- National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship)/Ph.D. or GATE qualified.
- Desirable: Work/research experience in marine geological/geophysical data analysis and hands-on experience with programming languages such as Fortran/Python/C++/MATLAB.
- For JRF-02: Master’s degree in Marine Science/Oceanography/Physical Oceanography/Atmospheric Science or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology in a relevant subject with at least 60% marks.
- Desirable: Experience in oceanographic and atmospheric data analysis, numerical modeling, and programming (MATLAB/Python/FERRET).
- For JRF-03: Master’s degree in Chemistry/Marine Chemistry/Chemical Oceanography/Marine Sciences/Hydrochemistry/Environmental Sciences or equivalent, or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology in a relevant subject with at least 60% marks.
- Desirable: Work/research experience in chemical oceanography, marine sciences, and marine chemistry/geochemistry, including sample preparation and analysis of seawater for chemical composition.

- Selection will be based on the performance in the walk-in interview (in-person or online).
- Candidates must bring original documents and self-attested copies for verification during the interview.
- Director, NCPOR reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage without assigning any reason.
