- NET/SLET/SET qualification or a Ph.D. degree as per UGC Regulations.
- For Assistant Professor in Sanskrit, Hindu Studies, and Indian Knowledge System (IKS), proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Sanskrit is mandatory.
- Ph.D. from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in the World University Rankings (QS, THE, or ARWU) is also acceptable.
