- For Mental Health Professional (Psychiatrist): Postgraduate degree or diploma in Psychiatry or equivalent, or registered clinical psychologist/mental health nurse/psychiatric social worker under Section 55 of MHCA, or postgraduate degree in Ayurveda (Mano Vigyan Avum Manas Roga), Homoeopathy (Psychiatry/Unani in Moalijat (Nafasiyatt)/Siddha in Sirappu Muruthuvam) with 15 years of experience in mental health.
- For Psychiatric Social Worker: Postgraduate degree in Social Work or Master of Philosophy in Psychiatric Social Work with 15 years of experience in mental health.
- For Clinical Psychologist: Recognized qualification in Clinical Psychology from Rehabilitation Council of India or postgraduate degree in Psychology/Clinical Psychology/Applied Psychology with Master of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology/Medical and Social Psychology and 15 years of experience in mental health.
- For Mental Health Nurse: Diploma or degree in general nursing/psychiatric nursing with 15 years of experience in mental health.
