Veterinary Field Assistant and Allied Cadre Posts

- Recruitment drive for 200 posts of Veterinary Field Assistant (VFA) and allied cadre under the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department, Assam.
- Selected candidates must undergo a mandatory 1-year training in Elementary Knowledge of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science at the School of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Assam, Ghungoor, Silchar.
- Training must be completed before appointment to the post.

- Indian Citizen as defined under Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
- Permanent resident of Assam with a valid Permanent Resident Certificate issued for educational purposes.
- Minimum age: 18 years as on 01/01/2026.
- Maximum age: 40 years as on 01/01/2026 (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC/MOBC, 10 years for PwBD, and 2 years for Ex-servicemen).
- Must pass HSSLC (Class 12) examination in Science stream with Biology as one of the subjects from a recognized Board/Council/University.

- Selection will be based on an OMR-based written test of 120 minutes duration with 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) of Class 12 standard.
- Subjects for the written test: Biology (40 marks), Chemistry (20 marks), Physics (20 marks), and General Awareness (20 marks).

- Permanent Resident Certificate issued in Assam for educational purposes.
- Caste certificate issued by the Government of Assam (for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC candidates).
- Benchmark Disability certificate (40% or more) issued by the competent authority (for PwBD candidates).
- Ex-Servicemen Identity Card issued by Zila Sainik Welfare Office of Assam and Discharge Book (for Ex-servicemen candidates).
- HSSLC Pass Certificate/Admit Card/Certificate reflecting date of birth (for age verification).

- No application fee for any category of candidates.
