- Must hold an analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department, OR have completed six years of service in Level-5 (Rs. 29,200-92,300) of the pay matrix after regular appointment.
- Bachelorβs degree in Engineering/Technology in Electrical, Electronics, Electrical Communications, Electronics Communications, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or Instrumentation from a recognized university/institute.
- Candidates who passed Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India) or Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India) or Associate Membership Examination of the Aeronautical Society of India (enrolled up to 31st May 2013) are also eligible.
- Maximum age limit: 56 years as on the closing date of application receipt.
