- Minimum Qualification: Master’s Degree (M.Tech./ME/M.Sc./MBA/MCA/MA/M.Com/MIS/M.Des or equivalent) with a minimum aggregate of 50% or equivalent CGPA.
- Ph.D. Requirement: Ph.D. degree is mandatory for direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor.
- Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC(NCL-Delhi)/PwBD: 5% relaxation in Bachelor’s and Master’s levels for candidates belonging to these categories.
- Relaxation for Ph.D. Holders: 5% relaxation in Ph.D. eligibility marks for those who obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September 1991.
- No Upper Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for appointment as Assistant Professor, but superannuation age will be governed by university norms.
- Experience: Experience in teaching, research, or industry will be considered for weightage points (maximum 30 points).
- Academic Record Weightage: Points awarded based on UG, PG, and Ph.D. aggregate marks, UGC/CSIR/ICAR/GPAT/GATE/ICMR/CEED qualifications, and other scholarly achievements.

- Initial Screening: Based on a 100-score scale with the following distribution:
• Ph.D.: 30 points
• Pre-Ph.D. Degree: 60 points (calculated as 35 + 0.5*(X-50), where X is % marks in Pre-Ph.D. Degree)
• UGC/CSIR-NET (JRF)/GATE/CEED: 10 points
- Consideration Zone: Candidates up to 1.2 times the number of advertised posts will be considered for detailed scrutiny.
- Document Verification: Candidates in the consideration zone must submit printed copies of their application form and relevant documents.
- Presentation & Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a presentation to assess teaching aptitude and an interview to assess domain knowledge and interview performance.
- Final Selection: Based on academic record, experience, research performance, teaching aptitude, domain knowledge, and interview performance.
