- Work on CSIR-FTT Project No. FTT050610 under the EES theme titled 'Innovative Hydrodynamic and Sediment Management Solutions for Sustainable Solar Salt Industry of Gujarat State in the Face of Climate Change'.
- Develop sediment models to predict erosion, deposition, and scouring in salt works creeks for environmental management in the solar salt industry.
- Conduct wave-current interaction, sediment transport (mud and sand), and shoreline morphology analysis to simulate tidal flows, flooding, erosion, and sediment deposition in macro-tidal coastal environments.
- Use ArcGIS, MIKE+ (ST, SW, FMST, FMMT, FMHD HD, Marine PP modules), and HEC-RAS software for modeling and analysis.
- Provide designing in AutoCAD for preventive infrastructure planning for solar salt works, bridge pier structures, and road infrastructure based on model outcomes.
- Engage in field data collection from government agencies (GoG, CWC, NRSC-ISRO, BISAG, Salt Works of India) and CSMCRI's Model Salt Farm (CI-STARS) for modeling and validation.
- Travel to field sites for data collection and modeling activities as required.

- Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
- Preference will be given to candidates with specialization in Water Resources Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Hydrological Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Remote Sensing/GIS, Wave-Current Modelling, or Shoreline Morphology Studies.
- Desirable: Sound knowledge of fluid dynamics, fluvial hydraulics, sediment transport modelling, morpho-dynamic studies, open channel flow, and water resources models.
- Experience in designing and modelling flood inundation, sediment transport, morpho-dynamics, shoreline morphology, wave-current modelling, saline land mapping in ArcGIS, and flood predictions using MIKE 11, MIKE 21, MIKE+ modules, and HEC-RAS software.
- Knowledge of ArcGIS, Remote Sensing techniques, and numerical modelling in water resources is desirable.
