Senior Project Officer (Safety) and Project Officer (Safety) on Contract Basis

- Recruitment for 2 contract-based safety officer positions at CSL AN Ship Repair Unit (CANSRU), Sri Vijaya Puram, Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
- Positions include Senior Project Officer (Safety) and Project Officer (Safety) with a contract period of 5 years.
- Work involves frequent site visits, climbing ladders, confined spaces, and high-risk environments.
- Selected candidates may be posted at any CSL unit/project site in India or abroad as per organizational requirements.

- For Senior Project Officer (Safety): Degree in Safety Engineering, Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry, OR Diploma in Engineering, along with a Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Industrial Safety (exemptions apply for certain qualifications).
- For Project Officer (Safety): Same educational qualifications as Senior Project Officer (Safety).
- Senior Project Officer (Safety): Minimum 4 years' experience for Engineering Degree holders or 7 years' for other Degree/Diploma holders in supervision/management in a Shipyard/Factory (production/maintenance/safety department) with HSE experience.
- Project Officer (Safety): Minimum 2 years' experience for Engineering Degree holders or 5 years' for other Degree/Diploma holders in supervision/management in a Shipyard/Factory (production/maintenance/safety department) with HSE experience.
- Age limit: Senior Project Officer (Safety) must not exceed 35 years as of 31 August 2026 (born on or after 01 Sep 1991).
- Age limit: Project Officer (Safety) must not exceed 30 years as of 31 August 2026 (born on or after 01 Sep 1996).
- Ex-servicemen age limit: Maximum 50 years after all relaxations as per Government of India guidelines.

- Shortlisting based on eligibility criteria verified through uploaded certificates.
- Selection includes a PowerPoint Presentation (80 marks) and Personal Interview (20 marks) for final evaluation.
- Rank list prepared based on aggregate marks from PowerPoint Presentation and Personal Interview.
- CSL reserves the right to conduct an objective-type test for shortlisting if the number of applicants is high.
- Medical fitness certification required before joining.

- Discharge certificate/Pension Payment Order (for ex-servicemen).
- Recent passport-size color photograph.
- Any additional documents requested by CSL during the selection process.

- Application fee: ₹400 (non-refundable) for General/OBC/EWS candidates.
- SC/ST candidates are exempt from paying the application fee.
- Fee must be paid online via Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking/Wallets/UPI from 14 August 2026 to 31 August 2026.
