ITI Trade Apprentices Recruitment 2026 under Apprentices Act 1961

- Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) invites online applications from eligible ITI certificate holders domiciled in Andaman & Nicobar Islands for one-year Apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 at CSL AN Ship Repair Unit (CANSRU), Sri Vijaya Puram.
- Total of 9 vacancies available across 4 trades: Electrician (1), Fitter (2), Welder (1), and Stenography & Secretarial Assistant (5).
- Stipend ranges from ₹11,000 per month for Electrician to ₹11,000 per month for other trades (exact stipend for Fitter, Welder, and Stenography & Secretarial Assistant not specified in the notification).
- Training duration is strictly one year as per Apprentices Act, 1961; prior apprenticeship training under the Act disqualifies applicants.

- Physical standards must comply with Clause 4 of the Apprenticeship Rules 1992 and amendments.
- Reservation applicable as per Government of India rules.

- Shortlisting based on percentage of marks obtained in prescribed qualification for respective trades.
- In case of equal marks, seniority in age will decide relative merit.
- Shortlisted candidates will be intimated via registered email ID for certificate verification.
- Verification includes original certificates for age, qualification, caste, disability (if any), and self-attested copies.
- Selection subject to medical fitness and execution of Apprenticeship contract agreement via https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in portal.
