Graduate and Technician Apprenticeship Training at CSL AN Ship Repair Unit

- Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), a premier Miniratna Schedule ‘A’ Company under the Government of India, invites online applications for Graduate and Technician Apprenticeships under the Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973.
- Apprenticeships are offered exclusively for candidates domiciled in Andaman & Nicobar Islands for the CSL AN Ship Repair Unit (CANSRU) at Sri Vijaya Puram.
- The training duration is one year as per the Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973.
- No travel expenses or boarding/lodging will be provided during the training period.

- Graduate Apprentices (Category I): Must hold a Degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant discipline from a Statutory University, Institution empowered by Parliament, or a Professional Body recognized by the Central/State Government as equivalent.
- Technician Apprentices (Category II): Must hold a Diploma in Engineering or Technology in the relevant discipline from a State Council/Board of Technical Education, University, or Institution recognized by the Central/State Government.
- Equivalency Certificate must be submitted if the qualification is equivalent to the prescribed standards.
- Age: Must be above 18 years old as of 30.10.2026.
- Reservations: Government of India directives on SC, ST, OBC, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) will be strictly followed.
- Physical Standards: Must meet the standards prescribed in Clause 4 of the Apprenticeship Rule 1992 and its amendments.
- Domicile: Applicants must be Indian citizens domiciled in Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
- No prior apprenticeship: Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training under the Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973 in any organization are not eligible.

- Shortlisting will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification for the respective discipline.
- In case of a tie in percentage, seniority in passing year will be considered.
- Shortlisted candidates must bring original certificates for verification of age, qualification, percentage of marks, caste, disability (if any), and self-attested copies for verification.
- Failure to produce original certificates will result in rejection of candidature.
- Candidates who successfully complete certificate verification will be provisionally considered for selection based on merit/reservation, subject to medical fitness.
