Various Vacancies under SER-Phase-III Project for Environmental Regulators

- Recruitment for 51 contract-based posts under the 'Strengthening of Environmental Regulators (SER)-Phase-III Project' on River Ganga, funded by the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) under the Namami Gange Programme (valid until 06.05.2028, extendable).
- Posts include Scientist-D, Scientist-C, Scientist-B, Assistant Manager (Finance), Administrative Assistant, Scientific Assistant, Taxonomist, Data Entry Operator, and Field Assistant.
- Selected candidates may be posted at CPCB's Regional Directorates in Lucknow, Kolkata, Chandigarh, or the Head Office in Delhi.
- Interviews will be conducted in Delhi; no TA/DA or accommodation will be provided.
- Engagements are purely contractual with no right to regularization or absorption into regular CPCB vacancies.

- **Scientist-D (1 post)**: First-class Master's in Environmental Science/Natural Science or First-class Bachelor's in Engineering/Technology (Environmental/Chemical/Civil/Energy and Environment/Biotechnology); AND cumulative impact factor of published papers ≥10 (UGC CARE/Scopus-indexed) OR 5+ books/edited book chapters (ISBN, peer-reviewed) OR 5+ technical reports published by CPCB/SPCB. 7 years of relevant experience in river/industrial pollution control, sewage management, and environmental management required.
- **Scientist-C (8 posts)**: Same qualifications as Scientist-D; AND cumulative impact factor ≥7 OR 3+ books/edited book chapters (ISBN, peer-reviewed) OR 3+ technical reports published by CPCB/SPCB. 5 years of relevant experience required.
- **Scientist-B (12 posts)**: Same qualifications as above; AND valid GATE score ≥90th percentile OR NET-JRF qualified. 3 years of relevant experience required; research/teaching experience also considered.
- **Assistant Manager (Finance) (3 posts)**: First-class Master's in Commerce (Finance & Accounting/Taxation) OR Chartered Accountant OR MBA (Finance & Accounting). 8 years of post-qualification experience required, including advanced knowledge of MS Office, Tally, QuickBooks, tax filings (TDS, GST, PF, ESI, STPI), and payroll management.
- **Administrative Assistant (1 post)**: First-class Bachelor's degree with working knowledge of computers. Desirable: First-class post-graduation. 5 years of post-qualification administrative experience (preferably in Government/PSU/Autonomous bodies, grade pay 4200/- or equivalent) and passing a skill test in noting and drafting.
- **Scientific Assistant (SA) (13 posts)**: First-class Master's in Environmental Science/Natural Science OR First-class Bachelor's in Engineering/Technology (Environmental/Chemical/Civil/Energy and Environment/Biotechnology); AND valid GATE score ≥90th percentile OR NET-JRF qualified.
- **Taxonomist (1 post)**: First-class M.Sc. (preferably Botany/Zoology with ≥75% marks); AND valid GATE score ≥90th percentile/NET-JRF qualified; AND cumulative impact factor of published papers ≥7 (UGC CARE/Scopus-indexed) OR 1+ book/edited book chapter (ISBN, peer-reviewed) OR 1+ technical report published by CPCB/SPCB.
- **Data Entry Operator (4 posts)**: First-class Bachelor's degree in Science/BCA. Must pass a skill test in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with English typing speed ≥45 wpm and Hindi typing speed ≥35 wpm.
- **Field Assistant (8 posts)**: 10+2 in Science with ≥55% marks. Knowledge of water/wastewater sampling and sample preservation required.

- Selection will be made through interview, subject to document verification and screening.
- If a large number of candidates apply for a post, the Screening Committee may shortlist candidates for interview based on a written exam, percentage of marks, desirable qualifications, relevant experience, higher qualifications, or other criteria.
- Candidates must bring original mark sheets, degrees, testimonials, date-of-birth certificates, experience certificates, self-attested photocopies, Aadhaar card (or other Govt.-approved photo ID), and one passport-size photo for document verification.
