- Recruitment drive for 32,388 School Teacher posts under the Education Department, Government of Bihar.

- Must be a citizen of India.
- Must hold educational and training qualifications prescribed by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for the relevant school level.
- For special school teacher posts, qualification recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) is required.
- Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) requirement varies by school level: CTET/BTET Paper-I for Primary, CTET/BTET Paper-II for Middle, STET Paper-I for Secondary, and STET Paper-II for Higher Secondary.
- Candidates appointed and working before 2012 who passed the Dakshata Pariksha (competency exam) are exempt from TET.
- Candidates appearing in STET 2026 must pass before the Preliminary Examination to receive admit card.

- Stage 1: Preliminary Examination - Objective-type General Studies paper (150 marks, 2 hours duration).
- Negative marking: 1/3 mark deducted for each wrong or unanswered question (5-option format).
- Minimum qualifying marks: General 40%, BC 36.5%, EBC 34%, SC/ST/women/Divyang 32%.
- Stage 2: Main Examination - Includes Language (qualifying), General Studies, and Subject Paper (150 marks each, 2 hours duration).
- Merit is prepared from Main Exam marks: Part II only for Primary; Part II + Part III combined for other levels.
- Guest teachers get service-based weightage marks (5 marks per year, max 25 marks) added to qualifying scores.
