- Experience Preference: Candidates with 1 year of lab experience in a recognized institute after completing DMLT will be preferred. Experience in Molecular Biology and Quality Assured Laboratory is also preferred.
- Registration: Must have a valid Registration Certificate from the State Council of DMLT/DMRT, Odisha.
- Attempts: Candidates who have passed HSC/Equivalent, +2/Equivalent, DMLT/B.Sc (MLT)/M.Sc (MLT) in more than one attempt will not be considered.
- Physical and Mental Fitness: Must be of good mental condition and bodily health, free from any physical defect that may interfere with duties.
- Marital Status: If married, must not have more than one spouse living.

- Shortlisting: Candidates with essential qualifications will be short-listed based on career mark weightage.
- Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a viva-voce test.
- Final Merit List: The final merit list will be prepared based on career mark weightage (40%) and viva-voce test mark (40%).
