Director, DIA-CoE, Bharathiar University

- DRDO and Bharathiar University, Coimbatore have established the DRDO Industry Academia Centre of Excellence (DIA-CoE, BU) for directed research in advanced technologies.
- The DIA-CoE focuses on multidisciplinary applied research in Biosensors and Counter Measure Evaluations (BSCM), Environmental Toxicity Management (ETM), Respiratory Support for Extreme Environment (RSEE), and Natural Polymers and Fibres for Defence Application (NPF).
- The Director will serve as the administrative and executive head of DIA-CoE, responsible for strategic guidance, management, and execution of research projects aligned with DRDO's technology roadmaps.
- Key responsibilities include securing industrial collaborations, facilitating technology transfer, and driving knowledge dissemination through workshops and seminars.
- The position is a full-time contract role with an initial duration of 3 years, extendable by 2 years based on performance review.

- Doctoral or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Technology, or Science from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Minimum 25 years of experience in technology domains or defence-related technical fields.
- Desirable: Experience in collaborative projects, strategic research planning, technology transfer, and multi-mode project coordination across academia, industry, and labs.
- Exposure to defence research, publications, patents, or infrastructure development for defence technologies is preferred.
- Age limit: Below 62 years as of the closing date of application receipt (03.09.2026).
