- Graduate Apprentice: 10+2 and full-time graduation in relevant discipline (Engineering/Technology, B.Com for Accountant, B.A for Assistant-HR) from a Government recognized institution with 60% marks (UR/OBC-NCL/EWS) or 50% marks (SC/ST).
- Technician Apprentice: High School pass and full-time Diploma in Engineering from a Government recognized institute, completed in the last 5 years with 60% marks (UR/OBC-NCL/EWS) or 50% marks (SC/ST).
- Trade Apprentice: High School pass and full-time ITI pass from an NCVT/SCVT recognized institute (NCVT only for Welder trade).
- Only candidates who completed their qualifying course (Degree/Diploma/ITI) in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026 are eligible.
- Qualifications via Distance Learning, Part-Time, Correspondence, or Sandwich courses are not considered.
- Candidates already undergoing or having completed apprenticeship elsewhere under the applicable Apprentices Act, or with one year or more of work experience, are not eligible.
- Graduate Apprentice applicants holding a postgraduate qualification (including integrated PG course) are ineligible as per NATS process manual.
- Preference is given to candidates from Tamil Nadu institutions; other candidates are considered only if Tamil Nadu candidates are unavailable for a notified branch.
