BHEL Tiruchirappalli Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27

- BHEL Tiruchirappalli invites applications for 530 one-year apprenticeship training posts under the Board of Apprenticeship Training, Southern Region (BOAT-SR) for the 2026-27 session.
- Three categories of apprenticeships are offered: Graduate Apprentice (90 posts), Technician Apprentice (60 posts), and Trade Apprentice (380 posts).
- Training will be conducted at BHEL Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, with subsidized food and hostel facilities available for selected candidates.
- No obligation for employment after completion of apprenticeship; selected candidates cannot claim any right to employment based on training.

- Graduate Apprentice: 10+2 and full-time graduation in relevant discipline (Engineering/Technology, B.Com for Accountant, B.A for Assistant-HR) from a Government recognized institution with 60% marks (UR/OBC-NCL/EWS) or 50% marks (SC/ST).
- Technician Apprentice: High School pass and full-time Diploma in Engineering from a Government recognized institute, completed in the last 5 years with 60% marks (UR/OBC-NCL/EWS) or 50% marks (SC/ST).
- Trade Apprentice: High School pass and full-time ITI pass from an NCVT/SCVT recognized institute (NCVT only for Welder trade).
- Only candidates who completed their qualifying course (Degree/Diploma/ITI) in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026 are eligible.
- Qualifications via Distance Learning, Part-Time, Correspondence, or Sandwich courses are not considered.
- Candidates already undergoing or having completed apprenticeship elsewhere under the applicable Apprentices Act, or with one year or more of work experience, are not eligible.
- Graduate Apprentice applicants holding a postgraduate qualification (including integrated PG course) are ineligible as per NATS process manual.
- Preference is given to candidates from Tamil Nadu institutions; other candidates are considered only if Tamil Nadu candidates are unavailable for a notified branch.

- Selection is based on a merit list drawn from marks secured in the qualifying examination (Degree/Diploma/ITI marks, as applicable).
- In case of a tie in marks, the candidate older in age is preferred.
- Selected candidates must meet the minimum physical fitness standards under Clause 4 of the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992, and any amendments.
- No TA/DA is paid for certificate verification or for joining the training upon selection.

Physically Challenged

- For Graduate/Technician Apprentice: 12/16-digit Student Enrolment Number from NATS 2.0 portal.
- For Trade Apprentice: 10-digit RDSDE (NAPS) registration number from apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.
- Aadhaar card for e-KYC verification (name, date of birth, and gender must match SSLC certificate).
- Educational certificates (Degree/Diploma/ITI) and mark sheets.
- Caste certificate (if applicable) and disability certificate (if applicable).
- Passport-sized photograph and signature.
- Active email ID and mobile number valid for at least one year.

- No application fee is specified for Graduate, Technician, or Trade Apprentice categories in the notification.
