Local Bank Officer (JMG/S-I) Recruitment 2026

- Recruitment for 2,482 vacancies of Local Bank Officer (JMG/S-I) in Bank of Baroda, one of India's largest public sector banks.
- Selected candidates will be posted within the state they apply for during the first 12 years of service or until promotion to SMGS-IV Grade, whichever is earlier.
- Post-qualification experience of at least 1 year as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank (as per RBI's Second Schedule) is mandatory.
- Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the state they are applying for (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding).
- Preferred certifications include IC 38 (Insurance), NISM Series V A (Mutual Funds), NISM Series XXI-A (PMS), and NISM Series XIII (Derivatives).

- Indian citizens only. Candidates from Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan refugees, or PIOs must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
- Minimum age: 21 years and maximum age: 30 years as on 01.08.2026.
- Mandatory: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university/institution.
- Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank (as per RBI's Second Schedule).
- Experience in clerical cadre will not be considered.
- Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the state they are applying for.
- Employees of Bank of Baroda who resigned from an officer-grade position or exited within the last 3 years are not eligible.
- Employees of Bank of Baroda in officer cadre or on contract basis are not eligible to apply.

- Selection involves an online test (120 marks, 120 minutes) with sections: English Language (qualifying), Banking Knowledge, General/Economic Awareness, and Reasoning Ability & Quantitative Aptitude.
- The online test is bilingual (English and Hindi) except for the English Language section.
- Negative marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
- Shortlisted candidates will undergo psychometric tests and/or interviews.
- Bank reserves the right to modify or add any selection criteria or process.
- Final selection is subject to document verification and medical fitness.

- Scanned copy of photograph and signature (as per specifications).
- Proof of age (birth certificate, SSC/10th mark sheet, or equivalent).

- Ex-servicemen certificate (if applicable).
- Aadhaar card for verification purposes.

- ₹850 (inclusive of GST + payment gateway charges) for General, EWS, and OBC candidates.
- ₹175 (inclusive of GST + payment gateway charges) for SC, ST, PwBD, ESM/DESM, and Women candidates.
