Various Fire and Support Staff Vacancies under ASC Centre (South) - Bangalore

- Recruitment for Fireman, Leading Fireman, Fire Engine Driver, and Librarian posts under ASC Centre (South), Bangalore.

- Only male candidates are eligible for Fireman, Leading Fireman, and Fire Engine Driver posts.
- Only male candidates are eligible for the Librarian post.
- Minimum educational qualification: Matriculation (10th pass) or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Fireman, Leading Fireman, and Fire Engine Driver posts require proficiency in fire-fighting methods, use of extinguishers, hose fittings, and fire appliances.
- Fire Engine Driver post requires at least 3 years of experience driving heavy vehicles and a valid driving license.
- Librarian post requires proficiency in library management and related trade work.
- Age limit: 18 to 25 years as of the last date of application submission.
- Age relaxation: Up to 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), 10 years for PWD (UR), 13 years for PWD (OBC), and 15 years for PWD (SC/ST).
- Government servants and Ex-Servicemen candidates have age relaxation as per existing government rules (total service rendered in Armed Forces plus 3 years).
- Departmental candidates with 3 years of continuous service in Central Government may apply up to 40 years (45 years for SC/ST).

- Selection will be based on merit in written examination, subject to qualifying in Skill/Physical/Practical tests.
- Written test will be conducted in bilingual (English & Hindi) format, except for English language section which will be in English only.
- Written test includes four sections: General Intelligence & Reasoning (25 questions, 25 marks), General Awareness (50 questions, 50 marks), General English (50 questions, 50 marks), and Numerical Aptitude (25 questions, 25 marks).
- Total duration of written test: 2 hours.
- Negative marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer in the written test.
- Skill/Physical/Practical tests will be conducted for Fireman, Leading Fireman, and Fire Engine Driver posts, including endurance tests like carrying a man, long jump, and climbing a vertical rope.
- Medical examination will be conducted for all selected candidates.
- No interview will be conducted for any post.

- Admit Card in duplicate.
- For Ex-Servicemen: Ex-Servicemen certificate issued by competent authority along with self-attested copy of Discharge Certificate and undertaking.
- For PWD candidates: Disability certificate issued by CMO/Civil Surgeon of Government Hospital certifying 40% or above disability.
- For EWS candidates: Income & Asset Certificate as per prescribed format.
