- Must hold an Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) Certificate as per the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order, 1950.
- Must possess proficiency in an Indigenous Tribal Language of Arunachal Pradesh.
- Post-wise educational qualifications:
- Agriculture Development Officer: Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from a recognized university.
- Horticulture Development Officer: Bachelor of Science in Horticulture from a recognized university.
- Veterinary Officer: Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry with registration in the Arunachal Pradesh State Veterinary Council.
- Assistant Director (Sericulture): Bachelor's degree in Science with Post Graduate Diploma in Sericulture from a recognized university/institute.
- Dairy Development Officer: Bachelor of Technology in Dairy Technology or equivalent (B.Sc. in Dairying/Dairy Technology; B.Sc./B.Tech in Food Technology; B.Sc. Microbial & Food Technology; B.Tech Bio-Technology).

- Viva-voce (50 marks).
- If the number of applicants exceeds the required ratio, a screening Recruitment Test (Objective Type, 200 marks) may be conducted.

- General candidates must score an aggregate of 33% in the written exam with at least 20% in each paper.
