Medical Physicist (Radiation Oncology) – Contractual Position

- AIIMS Nagpur, an apex healthcare institute under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, invites applications for a contractual position in the Department of Radiation Oncology.
- The role is strictly contractual and does not guarantee regularization or benefits like provident fund, pension, or gratuity.
- The appointment is for 11 months or until an alternate arrangement is made, whichever is earlier.
- The position is based at Plot No. 02, Sector-20, MIHAN, Nagpur – 441124.
- The interview will be held at AIIMS Nagpur campus; no TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.

- Nationality: Indian Nationals only.
- Qualification (Essential): One of the following:
M.Sc. in Medical Physics from a recognized university/institution.
M.Sc. in Physics + a Post-Graduate diploma/degree in Radiological Medical Physics from a recognized university/institute.
M.Sc. in Medical Technology with Radiotherapy as a special subject + Diploma in Radiation Protection from a recognized university.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience working in the Radiotherapy Department of a Hospital.
- Desirable: Approval from the competent authority to function as a Radiological Safety Officer (RSO).
- Age Limit: Between 21 and 35 years as of the last date of application (26.10.2026).
- Gender Eligibility: Both (no restrictions mentioned).
- Category Eligibility: General, OBC, SC, ST, and EWS (reservation as per Government of India rules).

- Shortlisting will be based on educational qualifications, relevant experience, and criteria decided by the Executive Director, AIIMS Nagpur.
- If a large number of applications are received, a screening test may be conducted to shortlist candidates for interviews.
- Document verification will be carried out before the interview to confirm eligibility (qualifications, experience, category, age).
- Interviews will be held at AIIMS Nagpur or another venue decided by the Executive Director.
- Candidates must score minimum qualifying marks in the interview to be considered for selection. Those not meeting the standard will be excluded, even if they rank higher in merit.

- Radiological Safety Officer (RSO) approval certificate (if applicable, as a desirable condition).
- Proof of age (birth certificate/marksheet).
- Caste certificate (if applicable, for SC/ST/OBC/EWS).
- Payment receipt for the application fee (if applicable).
- Original documents for verification at the time of the interview.
