- For Super-specialty subjects: MBBS with MD/MS/DM/MCh or equivalent qualifications.
- Professor: 14 years teaching/research experience in specialty or 12/11 years in super-specialty after qualifying degree.
- Additional Professor: 10 years in specialty or 8/7 years in super-specialty after qualifying degree.
- Associate Professor: 6 years in specialty or 4/3 years in super-specialty after qualifying degree.
- Assistant Professor: 3 years in specialty or 1 year in super-specialty after qualifying degree (no experience required for 3/6-year DM/MCh courses).
- MD (Biochemistry) or MD (Lab Medicine) candidates are eligible for Biochemistry department positions.
- Experience in Dental/Nursing/Physiotherapy colleges is not counted.
- Candidates must be Indian nationals or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders.
