Associate (Legal) (On Contract)

- Engagement is for the position of Associate (Legal) on a contractual basis at APEDA, New Delhi.
- Primary responsibility involves liaising with law firms, handling legal matters related to geographical indications, and ensuring compliance with intellectual property laws.
- Work includes proactive handling of legal tasks, maintaining strict confidentiality, and managing time efficiently.
- The role requires adherence to the Official Secrets Act, 1923, and strict confidentiality regarding sensitive matters.
- Candidates must be willing to travel across India as required, with TA/DA admissible as per Pay Level 10 of the Central Government.

- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree is mandatory.
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in a relevant legal field is required.
- Knowledge of basic concepts in intellectual property law is essential.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines is required.
- Desirable: LL.M./Master’s degree in a field related to law, and prior experience in intellectual property law (especially trademarks and geographical indications).
- Upper age limit: 45 years as of the application date.
