Apprenticeship Engagement under Apprentices Act, 1961

- Engagement of apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for FY 2026-27.

- Apprentices will undergo one-year training in banking operations, customer service, and related areas.
- Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend ranging from Rs. 7,850 to Rs. 15,500 based on branch location.
- No guarantee of regular employment post-apprenticeship; candidates will be relieved after completion.
- Apprentices are not considered employees of the bank and are not entitled to employee benefits.

- Nationality: Must be a citizen of India.
- Age Limit: Minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years as on 01.07.2026 (relaxation applicable for reserved categories as per GOI guidelines).
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university (result declared on or before 31.07.2026).
- Candidates registered under NATS must have a graduation result declared between 01.03.2022 and 31.07.2026.
- Candidates with prior apprenticeship or job experience of one year or more post-graduation are ineligible.
- Candidates must not have undergone apprenticeship with IOB or any other organization earlier.
- Candidates must register on NAPS (https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) or NATS (https://nats.education.gov.in) portals before applying.

- Selection will be based on an online written examination (objective type) followed by a test of local language proficiency.
- Online examination consists of four sections: General/Financial Awareness (25 marks), General English (25 marks), Quantitative and Reasoning Aptitude (25 marks), and Computer/Subject Knowledge (25 marks).
- Total duration of the examination is 90 minutes.
- Candidates must score minimum aggregate marks (with 5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates).
- Local language test will be conducted for candidates who do not produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheets in the specified local language.
- Final selection is subject to document verification, medical fitness, and personal interaction (if applicable).
- A waitlist (state-category-wise) will be maintained for one year from the result date.
