Assistant Professor (Contractual) for Academic Session 2026-2027

- Temporary teaching positions for Assistant Professors across multiple disciplines in Post Graduate Departments, Conducted Colleges, Schools, Institutes, and Centers of Specialized Studies.
- Contractual appointment for the academic session 2026-2027, commencing from the date of joining until 30th April 2027.
- Consolidated monthly salary of Rs. 40,000/- for the contractual period.
- Positions available in Humanities, Social Sciences, Science & Technology, Commerce & Management, Inter-disciplinary Studies, and University Centers.
- Proficiency in Marathi language is desirable.

- Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR or equivalent (e.g., SET) OR hold a Ph.D. degree in the relevant subject as per UGC regulations.
- Ph.D. candidates registered before 11th July 2009 are exempt from NET/SET if they meet specific conditions (regular mode, thesis evaluation, viva voce, research publications, and conference presentations).
- For Business Management: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and Master’s in Business Administration/PGDM/CA/ICWA/M.Com with First Class and 2 years of professional experience.
- For Fine Arts: Master’s degree with 55% marks OR a traditional/professional artist with a Bachelor’s degree, 5 years of acclaimed performance, and ability to teach theory with illustrations.
- For Pharmaceutical Sciences: B.Pharm degree, registration as a pharmacist, and First Class Master’s degree in a relevant branch of pharmacy.
- For Inter-Institutional Computer Centre: B.E./B.Tech./B.S./M.E./M.Tech./M.S. or Integrated M.Tech. with First Class OR B.E./B.Tech. and MCA with First Class OR Graduation with Mathematics and MCA with 2 years of relevant experience.
- Relaxation of 5% in marks for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/Differently-abled candidates at Bachelor’s and Master’s levels.
- Upper age limit: 59 years as on the last date of application.
- Candidates must upload caste certificate, caste validity certificate, and non-creamy layer certificate (if applicable).

- Selection will be based on the candidate’s academic record, professional experience, and performance in the interview.
- The University may also consider seminar/colloquium or other modes for selection.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
- Candidates must bring original documents along with three copies of the submitted application and self-attested documents at the time of the interview.
